The Kittinterns!
Learning business so they can keep your company agile and tenacious
The Goal
Everyone knows that all businesses need to be ready for whatever the market throws at them and to do that, they need employees that are hungry for profits (and tuna). Here at Kittinterns, we take young, fresh-faced kittens and give them that killer instinct that gets them ahead in the business world. Then they can put that ferocity to work for you!
The Organization
Kittinterns is a rescue organization working with Orange County Animal Services to foster kittens and adult cats so they can grow, be socialized, and adopted to loving homes.

Introducing Mama Pep and her Boys!
Hi all, we’re back! And we have the sweetest little lady and her oh so cuddleable boys. Mama Pep is a young mom but she’s doing an incredible job with her babies. She’s always very concerned when we take them for their company-mandated training(weigh-ins) but she also volunteers for all the work(pets) we can give…

Dictation
Many interns can be expected to take dictation from more senior members of the team. This offers them a great opportunity to see the process that big decisions take from inception to execution. It also allows those with experience to pass that on to newer team members and gives the new members the opportunity to…

Back to School
Monday is time to go back to work and school and Agnes isn’t a big fan. She conveniently forgets that the rest of us have been back since last Tuesday, but she does that a lot. No one works harder than she does.

Too Cool for Christmas
We get it Agnes, it’s Monday and no one likes Mondays. But this isn’t just some normal Monday, it’s Christmas! Just after this was taken, she got her stocking filled with catnip mice and even some Christmas chimken! From all of us here at Kittinterns, have a great holiday or just a better-than-usual Monday!

The Holiday Corporate Ladder
One of the most important parts of being an intern is showing initiative and spirit. Agnes is always up to help and this time of year there’s lots to do! So when we asked for volunteers to hang some garland, she was the first paw up. The entire time she was climbing, she was humming…

Team Building
Like all corporations, Kittinterns, Inc. occasionally goes on retreats for team building. This lets our interns get to know each other, schmooze with upper-management (well not top management, they’re exempt), and show off skills they don’t get to in the office! One of the big goals is to demonstrate to our teams how to work…

Legacy Skills
As an intern, you’re sometimes asked to learn skills that you don’t think you’ll ever need. I mean, who even faxes anymore??? As you can see, Agnes gave us quite the stink-eye when we asked her to show off her typing skills. In her words, “Typing it’s your old people. I yuzz voice to Tess.”…

Aggressive Negotiations
Sometimes business is undignified. Sometimes you’re called to do things you don’t want to do, things that might be unseemly. This can take time for new interns to get used to. But some interns are born ready to dig in and do what it takes to get ahead in business, no matter how dirty they…

Work Avoidance
Today we just couldn’t find Agnes anywhere. It’s not that unusual for an intern to go missing, but usually we find them stalking someone or something. The last time this happened, we found her methodically destroying the company Christmas tree. Well, one of them. In a company of cats we need lots. Anyway, we eventually…

Holiday Tips
Hi all, former intern Millie here! Just a reminder: make sure all holiday decorations adhere to company safety policies. For example, my tree here is made of cardboard so that it won’t fall and hurt anyone. Also, it’s delicious and fun to chew on! PS: If you’re putting gifts under the company Christmas tree, make…
